Sniffies privacy guide

Sniffies shows where you are, roughly. That's the product, so privacy depends on smart settings and habits.

Location privacy

Your position on the map is approximate, but repeated use from home can still reveal your general area. Consider browsing away from home if that matters to you.

Anonymous browsing

You can look around without an account. When you do register, keep personal details out of your profile.

Photo safety

Remove identifying backgrounds and metadata. Don't share face photos until you trust someone.

Account security

Unique password, password manager, and logging out on shared devices.

If you're not out

Use Vanilla Mode, a separate browser profile and a device lock. Be careful with linked accounts and notifications that show on your lock screen.
