Sniffies and Match Group
In April 2026, Match Group, owner of Tinder and Hinge, announced a $100 million minority investment in Sniffies.
The deal
The agreement included an option for Match Group to acquire the rest of the company later. Sniffies said it would remain founder-led and independent.

User concerns
Some users voiced fears in the press about the platform being sanitized or 'straightified'. Later product changes, such as replacing location walls with AI summaries, fed those concerns.
